The Dell Mini 1018 we mentioned earlier in the week as being made available has been bought by the folks at MyDellMini and an unboxing video put together.
They have some initial thoughts on the UK release: “I’ve had quite a bit of a play with it and I can say it’s shaping up to be a very nice looking netbook. The hardware is mostly the same as the previous Dell Mini 1012 released earlier this year, but with the introduction of the N455 CPU means we now have DDR3 RAM support for a nice performance boost. Additionally, Dell have addressed some design issues with this new model; the trackpad now has separate buttons, no more awkward integrated ones! Also the uniform colour design makes the netbook seem a lot more smarter and professional.”
