A Vodafone press release has just been issued detailing the availability of the Samsung Galaxy Tab (Model: GT-P1000) (just confirmed at IFA) in October. No date or pricing is confirmed as yet but Patrick Chomet, Group Director of Terminals at Vodafone noted “The GALAXY Tab is another showcase for Samsung’s innovation capabilities and we’re pleased to be introducing this across a number of our markets”.
We called Vodafone to see if this will be an on-contract subsidised device as per many Vodafone netbooks, but as yet unlike the iPad, however they are not ready to release any information on this yet.
