Hard drive space is ever increasing, but portable hard drives that are easy to travel with and powered from the laptop or notebook have traditionally always had less capacity than their desktop counterparts. Today Seagate is doing away with this disparity with the launch of their 2.5″ portable 1.5TB hard drive.
The new 1.5TB FreeAgent® GoFlex™ is compatible with both the Windows® operating system and Mac® OS X computers and ships with a USB 3.0 interface cable allowing increased transfer speeds when connected to a USB 3.0 port. Seagate state the drive can hold “60 HD movies” and even bundle a copy of Star Trek on the drive!
