The Samsung Galaxy Tab is now available for pre-order from Carphone Warehouse for £529.99 or £499.99 on a 30 day rolling contract of 1GB data for £10/month.
This definitely isn’t the subsidised pricing we’ve been hoping for, but its a start. The 30 day ‘no commitment’ data plan will appeal to some people due to its flexibility, but we’re looking for a more standard monthly contract and a greater subsidy on the device – like £25/month for 24 months and a device price of £149 or £199? Meanwhile this is the lowest ‘device only’ price seen so far, which is definitely good news.
