Facebook has an event on Monday – invites that were sent out hinted strongly at an email update with the Messages image.
AlLFacebook.com has being doing some research on the domain fb.com and has confirmed that this is owned by Facebook and has been configured for email. Facebook has the worlds most popular photo sharing site, and with the introduction of a full webmail interface could make a serious move into the hosted email space. Facebook users have long complained about the limitation of the current Inbox service with no ability to forward messages or add attachments, so an major upgrade adding these features with an @fb.com address would make sense.
