Orange have today announced the immediate availability of the Samsung Galaxy Tab, which will be available on one and 12 month price plans from Orange. The device will feature a customisable Orange home screen which will provide users with quick-link access to Orange Wednesdays, Orange Maps and there is also a “Your Orange” App allowing management of your Orange account.
The Galaxy Tab will be available across “a choice of flexible price plans” – occasional usage users will want the Racoon plan and more regular data users should opt for the Dolphin tariff (and on select Dolphin price plans, customers will receive an additional 1GB “quiet time” data allowance which is from midnight until 4pm).
The device prices are all around the £500 area, with little subsidy even on the Dolphin 1GB 12month contract which gives no real incentive to opt for a 12month commitment when for £15 less one off cost you can simply take 1GB on an individual monthly basis.
