Motorola Xoom Android HoneyComb tablet announced at CES

There’s plenty of coverage of CES2011 available online, so we’re only going to pick out a few things that catch our interest – for in depth coverage of practically everything we recommend Engadget and also GDGT.

Motorola have just announced their Android Honeycomb (3.0) tablet the Xoom and it’s pretty stunning. Likely to be sold as a connected device on Verizon (US) the Xoom has a 1GHz dual-core Tegra 2, 10.1-inch capacitive 1280 x 800 resolution touch-screen, and will be made available in Q1 this year. Other specs include a 5 megapixel camera, 720p video recording and 1080p video playback, 802.11n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, and an almost standard 32GB of onboard storage. The battery is rated at supporting 10 hours of video.
