A few days ago T-Mobile announced they would be changing the terms of use of their unlimited data plan, to making it capped at 500MB / month. There was much out-cry on the internet and now in an effort to appease angry customers T-Mobile have clarified the statement saying that the cap is “to new and upgrading customers only”.
Lysa Hardy, VP, T-Mobile UK said:
There will be no change to the data packages for existing customers for the duration of their contract and we apologise for any confusion caused. The revision to the Fair Use Policy is designed to ensure an improved quality of service for all mobile internet users.
The new policy will take effect on 1st February.
