In addition to their announcement back in late January that certain phones would support contactless payment, Orange today announced the launch of Orange Cash, the UK’s first major contactless prepaid MasterCard card.
Perfect for students and the first time bank card user the prepaid card is a secure alternative to carrying around cash and can be used in over 30 million locations that accept MasterCard within the UK and abroad, as well as online. The Orange Cash prepaid card costs just £5 and can be loaded with money at over 22,000 shops and petrol stations across the UK with the PayPoint logo, at 12,000 Post Offices, over 450 Orange Retail stores and on the Orange Cash website.
