Facebook for iPhone/iPad updated to v3.4 – brings Event Check-ins, Places Map and more

The Facebook for iPhone/iPad App has been updated to v3.4 ringing several new features including:

• Ability to remove a friend from within the App
• Map view of Places check-ins – view your friends on a map from the Places area.
• Checkin at Events, now you can checkin at an event rather than the physical location the event is held at on Gowalla of FourSquare. There is also a “here now” option displaying who is at the event.
• Improved notifications and News Feed
