Country Life butter is celebrating the launch of the UK’s first interactive picnic mobile phone App. Supporting real-time updates, Great British Picnics is a complete guide to British picnicking and the free App is downloadable now from the iTunes website. The App features over 600 UK picnic locations, and over 30 recipes with travel details including Google maps API and satellite navigation.
By launching the Great British Picnic App, Country Life wants to help the British public celebrate one of life’s simple pleasures – the picnic. With everything you need for the perfect picnic, the App does the hard work with the best picnic locations, scrummie recipes and top advice available at your fingertips.
The interactive map allows users to search more than 600 picnic spots across England, Scotland and Wales or they can check out the Country Life top 30 selected Gold spots. People can rate the spots they’ve been to, save their favourites so they can revisit the places they love, or upload their very own picnic spot and review to share with the App community. The new App includes more than 30 step-by-step picnic recipes as well as a picnic planner with helpful hints and tips to help create the perfect picnic.
