HTC’s first tablet, the HTC Flyer announced back at MWC2011, is available online now and in Three stores from tomorrow.
The HTC Flyer has a 7”, 1024 x 600 capacitive touchscreen, making e-reading, watching movies and browsing the web a pleasure, and its slimline size makes it convenient to use while out and about, checking maps, buying apps or downloading music. The slate also boasts a tablet version of the company’s Sense User Interface for Android.
Book reading is even more fun on the HTC Flyer with its clever highlighting and annotation features using the magic pen. The pen can also be used to take notes on the fly, which are then accessible from other devices, via Evernote.
HTC Flyer key features:
- 7” Display (1024 x 600 WSVGA)
- 32GB storage
- 1GB RAM
- 5MP Camera and face detection capability
- 1.3MP front facing camera
- Size: 195 * 125 * 12.9 mm
- Sense for Tablet on Gingerbread at launch
David Kerrigan, head of mobile broadband at Three commented:
“Three is the mobile network that carries the most UK data traffic so it’s important that we offer the best connected devices. HTC smartphones are well loved by our customers, so we are pleased to be offering the HTC Flyer from today.”
The HTC Flyer is a data only device and is offered for an initial cost of £169 on a £30.99 a month, including a 15GB data allowance on a 24 month contract, which offers people who want regular mobile data a lower upfront cost than the SIM Free purchase options available.
