The ‘I’ and ‘O’ in the Google IO, stand for innovation in the open. This conference is held annually for 2 days to discuss and open up doors to the next generation of web technologies, applications, mobiles and so on. The conference, this year was full of announcements, Android news, Google TV, super click Chrome book and official launch of the Google music.
Starting with Google music, it gives in the options to upload all kinds of music. Also, you can connect it with any device and upload music easily on the go too. The best feature being talked about is that as soon as you upload songs to your desktop, it will automatically be synchronized to the application. The only disturbing thing is that you can only get invited by Google for the application and you cannot buy music from Google music as yet.
The next big thing, worth talking about is the Google chrome-book which is expected to run Chrome OS. It is also confirmed that Samsung and Acer will be the first companies to manufacture which will be available beginning June 15.
The spell bounding features about the new Chrome-book are firstly, its 8 second booting time to load your favourite websites quickly and smoothly. The next one talks about built in Wi-Fi and 3G which is the most astonishing feature which helps you to connect from anywhere and everywhere. The next feature is going to be huge for those already , all your applications, documents and settings will be stored in remote servers controlled by Google so that you never lose out on any important information and data. The other important features include, easy download of any kind of application from Google web store, it has a great security built-in, when you turn it on, it updates itself, it is easy to share and it has the power of HTML5.
Jumping on to talking about the next most talked about developments in the conference was Google TV’s full access to the Android market as well as Honeycomb 3.1. Google is also launching a new version of Honeycomb, its tablet called OS which will also bring new widgets into the market. And last but not the least, Google has also come up with Google movies for its Androids which allows its owners to rent and watch movies on their mobiles and tablets. The annual Google IO has served many purposes and has established Google as an innovator, the master of web applications and the rising sun in the industry which is never expected to dawn.
