The popular player in the Android market, Samsung announced the latest upgrade for its popular Galaxy S and Galaxy Tab devices. The upgrade was started in the last month, but a bug was introduced in the upgrade after its release. Hence the entire upgrade was cancelled out and was postponed. The update department of Samsung has dealt with the issue and now they have launched the latest update. The latest update is available for the UK and European countries. Users from these countries are now able to upgrade their phone’s software to the latest Android 3.1 GingerBread.

Samsung has offered desktop software ‘Kies’ for this latest update that you can download from the Samsung official website. This software allows you to upgrade your Android from 2.5 (Froyo) to 3.1 (GingerBread). The users from US and other countries are currently not able to take part in this upgrade. There will be an announcement from the Samsung officials shortly for those users. The Samsung website shows that they have some regional plans to launch the upgrade for the users from other countries.

The upgrade of Android Froyo 2.5 to GingerBread 3.1 is supported for the Samsung galaxy S, Galaxy Tab, Galaxy Ace, Gio, Mini. This upgrade is important and users should upgrade their software version. This upgrade will improve the user experience as well as it will provide fast execution of operations under the power of 1GHz processor of the Samsung tablet devices.
