A new game has been released that uses an iPhone mounted to a gun to shoot aliens attacking your augmented reality lounge or bedroom. The appBlaster game consists of a free iPhone app and the physical gun for £20.00 available from red5.co.uk.
The game looks quite fun, as (quite cute) aliens appear from around various corners for you to shoot, and when you run out of bullets you jerk the gun upwards to reload.
The gun has two mechanical tips that touch two spots on the iPhone screen for firing the laser gun or missiles linked to the front or rear triggers. The iPhone app is still in usable beta, but the final version will be available July 6th.
