Ian Puddick, after discovering his wife was having an affair with a city insurance broker, Timothy Haynes, decided to take is revenge by posting details of the affair on several social networking sites such as Twitter, Facebook and a string of dedicated websites he set-up for the purpose.
Links to the various displays of adultery were displayed on business networking sites and distributed to Mr Haynes’s colleagues, friends and business clients.
The case has ended up in the City of Westminster Magistrates Court after Mr. Haynes claimed for harassment and distress being forced to leave his job.
Its a twisted story with a previous affair between the two over a year ago, but the case is an interesting one as it will be asking the law to look at levels of intimidation and harassment via the internet.
