The Blackberry Playbook was due to go on sale tomorrow, June 16th, in the UK, but Selfridges have got the scoop and have the Playbook available today ahead of other retailers from 09.30am.
The Playbook is RIMs first entry into the tablet space, and despite some novel features has not had the reception it had hoped for, with luke warm reviews and pre-orders. CNET are quoted as saying:
the PlayBook is only suitable for people who have a BlackBerry smart phone and will never, ever switch to a different brand
The PlayBook, the first tablet computer from BlackBerry manufacturers RIM, will go on sale at £399 for the 16GB version, £479 for the 32GB model and £559 for the 64GB. It will be available tomorrow from major retailers like Dixons, PC World and Carephone Warehouse.
