Google Maps on Android was updated to day to include public transport directions for the London underground today. The Android App Transit Navigation (Beta) feature now has the London Underground system in its database with over 18,000 bus stops and over 250 Underground stations catalogued. The system is very sophisticated even giving alerts when it’s time to get off the bus or train at your destination or to make a transfer, although this feature will struggle with most of the underground services.
A watered down version is also available on Google Maps for Mobile on iOS and Blackberry devices too with suggested routes based on your current location and your entered destination..
