The HP Touchpad goes on sale in the US today, but you’ve only got 2 weeks to wait if you’re in the UK and want to get your hands on (an official) one.
The Touchpad had its UK price confirmed early June, but availability was simply “mid July” – well mid July is confirmed as exactly mid July – July 15th!
The HP Touchpad will be available from Amazon, Carphone Warehouse and PC World with a price of £399 for a 16GB model, or £479 for 32GB lining up directly with the Apple iPad. The Touchpad has had mixed reviews so far, but innovative features like ‘touch to share’ with other webOS devices, and the consumer friendly simple to use interface should gain it some fans here.
