The LG Optimus 3D is now available on the Three network. The phone has a 4.3” ‘stereoscopic’ touchscreen running at 480 x 800 pixels, which allows you to view 3D content without glasses, from what we’ve heard so far the 3D capability works well however with stereoscopic technology the viewing angle for the phone is quite critical, one person can be in the ‘sweet spot’ and watch without issue, but trying to get two or more people together watching a 3D movie can lead to neither seeing it correctly.
The phone ships with Android 2.2 (Froyo) but there is a 2.3 upgrade which should be available soon. There are also two inbuilt 5MP cameras making it easy for people to create their own 3D videos in full high-definition along with the powerful Dual-core 1GHz ARM Cortex-A9 processor which keeps the phone performing at the speed you need.
