Earlier this month we reported on the release of the Free Windows Phone game Minesweeper, which looked like a great free game which includes Live integration and gamerscore points. However we also soon realised it was *only* available in the US and not in the rest of the world.
We rejoice bomb-phobic friends, as today the Windows Blog has announced that the game is being made available throughout the world (except Brazil and Korea for some reason)
“It’s not that we don’t want to have worldwide consumer releases,” John Dongelmans, a director of Xbox LIVE games marketing and one of the early responders, told me. “But in some cases we face challenges due to feature availability and licensing restrictions.”
The game should be available sometime today in the Marketplace. We’re checking now…
