The V Festival is about to start in 2 weeks time, and the organisers have released a new App to help navigate your way around the festival.
The App is available on Nokia and Apple handsets now, with Android and Blackberry versions coming soon. Windows Phone users look to be left out in the cold unfortunately with no WP7 version available. In addition to the standard Festival App features like a sitemap, line-up and stage details the App also brings a few new features which could prove useful.
The App contains a ‘find my tent’ and ‘find my car’ feature allowing you to geo-tag the location of your tent and car, making finding them again at the end of a long day much easier! There will be tweets from various artists appearing showing, and also up to date weather and travel information available. Also in a festival App first, you can login to the App using Facebook Connect and have any of your Facebook Friends (who alos login) location also displayed on the map!
There is also a section with opportunities for festival goers to win prizes and get their hands on VIP upgrades.
