We saw the new range of Kindle’s announced at yesterdays event, with the new standard (non touch) Kindle being available immediately at a price of $79.
Well today the same new Kindle is available to pre-order on the Amazon UK site, although typically at the more expensive price of £89 ($139). The new Kindle is a slimmed down version of the current Kindle with the same E-Ink display, no keyboard and is 30% lighter than current Kindle, weighing less than 6 ounces.
Its definitely an improved device (assuming you didn’t do lots of text entry on your Kindle) but the price comparison between the UK and US is ridiculous!
