The Windows Phone Blog is reporting that after 3 weeks of careful monitoring since Mango was initially released, they have now fully opened the roll-out to all devices, so anyone still waiting to receive the Windows Phone 7.5 update should be seeing it imminently now. See the Where’s My Phone Update? for more details.
They have also revealed that further updates will be coming; from next week they will start delivering some model-specific “firmware” from handset makers which are designed to activate new Windows Phone 7.5 features or improve your phone’s performance. There could be some interesting unlocks yet to come – we’re specifically still waiting on the Internet Sharing option that has been seen in testing but hasn’t been widely released as it apparently is subject to the WiFi chipset in your device and of course being allowed by your carrier.
These will show up as further ‘Update Available’ messages on your phone, but not everyone will get one as not all carriers have any customisations (or Internet Sharing) to enable.
