Motorola at a joint event with Verizon in New York City announced its new smartphone, the Motorola Droid RAZR. The company praises its new phone as “the world’s thinnest smartphone.”

The new Droid RAZR shows off a dual-core processor, 4G LTE on Verizon network, a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Advanced display and of course a profile that genuinely declares it ‘thin.’

Some of the most significant features of Motorola’s Droid RAZR are:

Thin and Lightweight

The new Droid RAZR measures around 7.1 mm thick, which makes it really graceful. What Motorola claims that it is the thinnest 4G LTE device in the market and perhaps the slimmest smartphone overall.

Screen is Awesome

The Droid RAZR features a 4.3-inch Super AMOLDED Advanced qHD screen which is magnificent. Although, it is far too early to compare it with iPhone 4/iPhone 4S or other rival phones, it seems that the device has much clear and bright display, particularly when compared the Droid Bionic.

Supercede Droid Bionic

The Bionic is another great phone by Motorola, which was recently launched after months of delays. However, it failed to stand against the much popular RAZR.

Despite having some common features, the Droid RAZR outclasses it in terms of its better battery, better screen, thinner dimensions and of course plethora of accessories. Still both the phones shares same dual-core processor and 4G LTE network.

Battery Life Uncertainties

Although, the standby time ands talk time seem pretty impressive, it is not clear if those figures were recorded on 3G, 2G or 4G LTE. Motorola didn’t provide us with clear details about the battery life of Droid RAZR.

Availability

Motorola has already produced something magical and iconic in the form of original RAZR. What we have to see whether the latest Droid RAZR would be able to get the elevated status for a smartphone or would it appear to be a better phone than original RAZR.

The pre-order for Droid RAZR will open from October 27th, while it will be available in stores and online by next month. If you are interested in placing a pre-order for new Droid RAZR, you can do it on October 27th for $ 299.99.
