A thread over at the xda-developers.com forums has revealed leaked images of the Windows Marketplace entry for the upcoming Nokia Maps App. The images show the description and some screenshots of the App in use, which looks to give a nice clear mapping interface with public transport listings (with possible route guidance?) and location details including user submitted photos and reviews.
Its not clear if Nokia Maps will be exclusive to Nokia Windows Phone handsets, free to Nokia handsets and chargeable to others handsets, or if Microsoft has struck a deal by which Nokia Maps is available across the entire Windows Phone eco-system.
The description reads:
Nokia Maps helps you to be a local anywhere you go. See where you are and discover places nearby in a snap. Get reviews, uncover new destinations and reach them with smart routing for public transport, walking and driving.
