If you are an Amazon Prime Member, which brings you benefits of free two-day shipping, and access to streaming of Amazon TV and Movies, you can now take advantage of the Amazon Kindle Lending Library feature.
The Lending Library allows you to choose from thousands of books to borrow for free including over 100 current and former New York Times Bestsellers – as frequently as a book a month, with no due dates.
On your Kindle there will be a new option called “Kindle Owners’ Lending Library” which will take you to a selection of books available to borrow. Select the book you’re interested in and choose the new option “Borrow for Free”. You can borrow one book at a time, but there is no return date, hang onto it until you’re done reading!
Announced shortly before the Kindle Fire tablet is due to launch on November 15th this could well tip the balance for anyone close to making a decision on whether to pick one up. It looks like this is currently only available in the US but we’ll update as soon as UK availability it announced.
