While the ad doesn’t actually mention Apple or its products specifically, it’s clear that it’s making playful digs at those who waited patiently in line outside stores to buy the 4S. “I am so amped I could stay here for three weeks”, says one excited fan. Another proclaims, “Yeah, I mean this is an event. We’re going to remember this for the rest of our lives.”
When the fans see the Galaxy SII, some are impressed by it, while others are dismissive.
“I could never get a Samsung. I’m creative”, says one man. “Dude, you’re a barista”, replies his friend.
The ad picks up on the much-publicised complaints surrounding the 4S’s battery and lack of a new design. It also throws in the fact that the Galaxy SII boasts a bigger screen and 4G speeds.
The ad certainly takes things up a notch in the battle between the two companies.
