Google’s Andy Rubin has broken the news on his Google+ account that daily Android Activations have now exceeded the 700’000 mark.
This is clearly a massive figure, and the Android freight train shows no signs of stopping with the recently released Galaxy Nexus handset selling in large numbers, with users demand for a vanilla Android 4.0 (ICS) device clearly strong.
This comes on the back of news that Samsung is now the dominant player in Australia, overtaking Apple to become the number one mobile phone vendor. IDC analyst Yee-Kuan Lau said in a statement.
Collective efforts to expand brand presence from all Android manufacturers at all price points will increase consumer choice and drive demand, which in turn will help Android grow to at least 40% market share over the next 3 years.
