Sony have announced their first ‘Artist Apps’ on the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch devices. The first featured artists are Jimi Hendrix and AC/DC and the Apps contain a wealth of information about each artist.
With Jimi Hendrix – The Complete Experience, music lovers are able to explore interactive chapters of Jimi’s legacy through immersive text, images and video. Listeners can flip through the full collection of Hendrix’s albums, read about documentaries, live performances and other films about Hendrix with the option to download these assets directly from iTunes. For those who want to take the experience into the living room, users can stream video to their big screenusing AirPlay and their Apple TV or even stream music to their AirPlay-enabled speakers.
The AC/DC App includes classic AC/DC hits, original voice recordings from vocalist Brian Johnson, guitar-shredding mini-games and a hyper-realistic pinball environment featuring AC/DC’s most iconic set pieces. Ring Hell’s bells, fire a cannonball salute, flick the switch to power up the power station, and take a ride with Rosie — all in dazzling HD. Let there be rock!
The AC/DC Pinball Rocks! game includesa Hyper-realistic physics engine, extreme detail and original artwork and multiple camera angles: including 3D-perspective, full table and smart cam.
