Windows Phone has a built in “Find MY Phone” utility, but it requires a user turning it on, and then requires GPS and data connections to be able to successfully report its location in. Sometimes those things aren’t available, and if your phone access is restricted (we are all protecting our phones with passcodes right?) then someone who finds your phone will have no real way of finding out any owner information.

WP7 Lock Screen is a clever idea that aims to address that issue. AJ Troxell has designed a free Photoshop template that allows you to set up a customised lock screen where you can enter some contact information that will appear on your phones lock screen, giving the finder enough information to return the phone to you.
