A study of all 37 Apple country stores by Idealo, reveals that excluding VAT the UK has the most expensive Apple Store prices. If you include VAT only the tax heavy Scandinavia (25%) is more expensive.
“The average UK Apple store price is four percent higher than the non-Scandinavian Western European Apple stores. This means for an Apple product such as an iMac, British customers are paying on average £40 more.”
The UK isn’t the worst globally however, with Brazil ranking the worst for value with an average product price of £895.00, but if you’re going on holiday to Malaysia or Canada pick up your Apple products there, as they rank the cheapest overall with average product prices of £519 and £518 accordingly.
