TP-Link has introduced a new wireless surveillance camera for around the home. Security is a hot topic at the moment as crime rates rise, and we’re always interested in security products with a mobile twist to them, and this product is no different.
This product, the TL-SC4171G, is designed for indoor use only, and offers whole-room surveillance coverage with 354 degree horizontal pan (left & right) and 125 degree vertical tilt (up & down). You can control the direction and angle of the camera while remotely viewing, but also set up to 4 patrol tours that consist of 8 preset positions each make the camera automatically move along a desirable route to allow users to easily capture a number of specific points.
With a 54Mbps wireless connection it connects to to your home WiFi and you can access the camera from mobiles or tablets.
The TL-SC4171G works fine at night with 12 IR (Infrared) LEDs turning on automatically to reveal clear monochrome video up to XXX feet. It also has 2-way audio, using the built in microphone you can hear everything going on, and by connecting up speakers you can also talk back to anyone within the vicinity of the camera.
We’re getting one in for review soon, so check back for our thoughts on using the product on a daily basis.
