All those who have been fascinated by the story of “Jack and the beanstalk” wanting to get their hands on the beans that grow into a lustrous beanstalk bringing unimagined treasures of all kinds, their predicament is not much different from those Android users who have been waiting anxiously for their Android updates.
Android 4.1 update will be out soon, so hold your breath a little longer for you might get the best deal as there are features in Jelly Bean that are light years from its rival giants like iOS, Windows Phone and Blackberry.
Jelly Bean: What’s the fuss?
The question on every Android user’s mind is that which smartphones or tabs will get the new oh so magical upgrade of Android Jelly Bean. It is widely known that unlike Apple devices that ensure consistent upgrades on various devices, a smartphone using a particular version of Android OS is usually stuck with that version whereas the updated versions mostly come built in with newer devices.
Similarly, at the I/O developers conference by Google, the new 4.1 version of Android, titled Jelly Bean, was introduced along with the Nexus 7 tablet while the previous version Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich is still not common in majority of Android smartphones. According to the company, Jelly Bean is the most robust and fastest version of the OS so far, increasing the aesthetic appeal as well as the simplicity in usage of ICS.
It brings forth resizable widgets, an improved new search experience and the ability for deleting photos just with a swipe and the keyboard is also improved in terms of relevance and accuracy. Additionally, text to speech feature has been improved, autocomplete for words has improved guesses and search results are sorted a lot better accumulating all related information represented together beautifully.
Who gets the Jelly bean?
Still, the question echoing within the Android smartphone and tablet user circles is the same, as to when will the Jelly Bean update made available for the users. Google also took the pleasure of introducing the Nexus 7 tablet, its response to the iPad, at the I/O conference, which also has the specificity of having Jelly Bean update preinstalled.
However, other users with Android devices eager to get the new upgrade will receive them through their respective carriers. The new tablet Nexus 7 shipped from late July now the tablet is on sale, other devices will start receiving the update soon enough. Another high point for Android users will be that their Android devices that used be plagued with Android spy software can now take a breather as the new Jelly Bean also has greater security measures against cell phone spy software.
The new features that Jelly Bean will introduce will be specific to Android while stirring up competitive and developmental spirit amongst other rivaling companies. The more important question for Google will however remain as to how quickly and by what means will Jelly Bean be made available for all users that have been craving for the new Android update.
