TRENDnet have announced the release of 2 new wireless cloud cameras, the TV-IP751WC and the Wireless Day / Night Cloud Camera, model TV-IP751WIC.
These new cameras take the hassle and configuration out of setting up an IP based camera, with no complicated port forwarding on NAT rules required.
Each camera connects to your home WiFi network and then automatically register themselves with the TRENDnet Cloud service.
You can then access, control and view the cameras from the secure Trendnet website, or via the free Apple or Android Apps that can be downloaded to your device, and a single camera can be viewed remotely by multiple users concurrently.
Both models record at 640 x 480 (VGA) video at up to 20 frames per second (fps) and offer motion detection recording, scheduled recordings, email alerts, date and time overlay. The TV-IP751WIC model also includes Infrared sensors and can record video in complete darkness for distances of up to 7.5 meters.
The resolution could be better, but the attractive pricing of the units make them great for people looking to start out in IP CCTV cameras, particularly as there is a heavy emphasis on easy setup and operation of these models.
The recommended price for these cameras is only £69.99 for the TV-IP751WC and £89.99 for the TV-IP751WIC day+night model and will be available soon.
