It took a while for Motorola’s flagship smartphone to finally make it across the pond, but the day has finally come.
If you’ve been waiting for the Moto X to come to the UK, the wait is over, and Phones4U has a deal for those looking to pick up Moto’s mid-range device.
As of today, you’ll be able to snag a Moto X through the UK retailer Phones4U in Black or White for £390 if you want it SIM-free, and that drops to £380 if you sign up for pay as you go. If you prefer to sign up for a contract you’ll get the Moto X for free and prices start at £25 a month for 3G or £30 a month for a 4G contract. Phones4U has also locked down the White variant as an exclusive for the first three months.
If you’re unfamiliar with Google’s Moto X, it’s a 4.7-inch 720p device with an AMOLED display, a 1.7GHz dual-core processor, 2GB of RAM, and 16 GB of storage. The Moto X has a slew of software features like touchless controls, active display, and the quick capture camera. It’s also going to run the latest and greatest version of Android with KitKat 4.4.
The Phones4U promotion is live right now while the “official” UK release date to the Moto X is February 1st. Despite its specs, the Moto X was a popular device in the states when it was released, and Motorola hopes to see it do well abroad. No word on Moto Maker or a 32GB of the Moto X yet, but we’ll keep you in the loop as we learn more.
