Audeara are the world’s first full fidelity headphones with an in built hearing test to protect users ears, delivering a supreme, catered sound like no other headphones.
Everyone’s ears are different, they are shaped as you grow and respond differently to varying sound ranges. Damage to your ears can occur in all sorts of ways, from concerts to a noisy workplace, and this also alters they way we individually hear sounds.
To measure your unique hearing, they’ve employed the hearing threshold test. This determines exactly how much you can hear, identifies any areas you need to correct for, and graphs your unique hearing profile.
What makes the Audeara headphones especially powerful is that all the technology is inside the headphones themselves. After the first test, the app isn’t required again unless the user wants to retest. This means headphones are no longer passive magnets for signal conversion, instead, they’re sophisticated tools for personalised sound reproduction.
Launched on Kickstarter it has already smashed its $100,000AUD goal, currently sitting at $259,303AUD at time of writing.
Unlike other headphones that correct sound, Audeara puts you in control of the hearing test – meaning you can retest as many times as you like. They adapt with your hearing throughout your lifetime – so from the very first time they test you, they give you perfect sound, always.
