Netflix Brings Smart Downloads to iOS. Today Netflix has launched Smart Downloads on the iOS versions of its app, something it brought to Android back in July 2018.
Smart Downloads automatically downloads the next episode for a show you are watching as you approach the end of the current one you are watching.
Also once downloaded, Netflix now automatically removes the downloaded episode you were just watching, intelligently freeing up space and making way for future downloads. These automatic downloads only take place over Wi-Fi so you don’t have to worry about your mobile data allowance being used up without your knowledge.
This takes away the management of downloading your favourite shows to your device and stops you running out of phone storage abfew weeks alter.
The feature is also available on its Windows 10 app as well making it now available on all the three mobile platforms.
