Xiaomi have just launched their newest phone in the UK – The Redmi Note 9 and larger screen’d Redmi Note 9 Pro.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 is equipped with a high-performance octa-core processor with a maximum clock speed of 2.0GHz and a GPU frequency of 1000MHz. It has a 6.53 “FHD+ DotDisplay, with 20:9 aspect ration, and is equipped with Corning® Gorilla® Glass 5.

An impressive new 5020mAh (typ) battery (with 18W Fast charging) lets you can enjoy power for longer with up to 33 hours of call time, 16 hours of GPS navigation, and 16 hours of gaming.

The camera is an AI Quad camera with:

  • 48MP main lens
  • 8MP ultra wide-angle camera (119 degrees of field)
  • 2MP depth sensor (providing background blurring)
  • 2MP macro camera

There is also a 13MP AI front facing selfie-camera. You can shoot in RAW allowing you to adjust colours later.

There are two levels of storage, 64GB with 3GB RAM, and 128GB with 4GB RAM. Both options include microSDXC expansion (dedicated slot). The phone comes in two tone effect in 3 main colours: Interstellar Grey, Tropical Green and Glacier White.

The side mounted power button doubles up as a fingerprint sensor to unlock the phone, and runs Android 10 OS from Google.
