Ring has today announced a couple of new alarm products – its new Ring Alarm Outdoor Siren and a new indoor Alarm kit.
After being bought by Amazon, Ring has continued to expand and improve upon its range of camera and security products. Some smart moves like standardising and making batteries interchangeable has helped Ring strengthen its position as the dominant name in home security, cctv and doorbell cameras.
The siren integrates seamlessly into your Ring Alarm security system, providing both audible and visual alerts to you and your neighbours if your Alarm system is triggered. Ring Alarm Outdoor Siren also includes:
- Built-in LEDs which flash red when Alarm is triggered.
- Ring’s Dusk to Dawn feature which illuminates Ring Alarm Outdoor Siren in white at night.
Also announced is the new Ring Alarm (2nd Generation), with a brand new, sleek design made to fit any home. The new updates to the alarm unit include an upgraded keypad to incorporate even more important security features and redesigned, smaller sensors to fit more areas of the home.
Ring’s DIY, customisable Alarm system offers affordable, commitment-free security where it’s needed most.
For whole-home security, Ring Alarm can be linked to existing Ring Video Doorbells (see our Ring Video Doorbell review here) and Security Cameras within the Ring App, so that when the Alarm is triggered, it automatically activates all Ring cameras to begin capturing video, even if they do not detect motion.
>> Ring Alarm Outdoor Siren is available for purchase from 31st March, 2021 for £69 and Ring Alarm (2nd Generation) will be available for purchase on April 28th, 2021 from £219 (5-piece kit). Both can be pre-ordered from Amazon today.
