Poking fun at the British weather is nothing new, but this ‘gaming accessory’ – a Thumbrella from Candy Crush is taking this to the next level!

What is it? Well it’s an umbrella for your thumb, which protects your phone screen from the British weather, be it from raindrops, or the glare of the sun, so you can keep crushing it – and using your phone – whatever the weather.

It also comes as research shows the unpredictable British weather stops over a third (38%) of the UK being able to use their phone properly due to the sun or rain – be that using maps (39%) or replying to an important message (33%).

Mobile gamers – particularly those who play outdoors (51%) – will be especially glad to hear of the new accessory given their biggest challenge when playing outdoors is not being able to see their phone properly in the sun (42%), or worrying their phone will get damaged in the rain (30%).

You’ve got to be pretty phone addicted that you mus thave your phone out, playing a game or on social, when it’s raining. But those people exist.
